🌹 From Survival to Soil: How My Story Planted the Seeds for Blu Roses Garden

I didn’t start Blu Roses Garden because I wanted to build a brand. I started it because I was tired of surviving systems that weren’t built for people like me — and I needed somewhere real to breathe.

Before Blu Roses was ever a business, it was a lifeline. A prayer. A place I dreamed of in my mind when the world felt like too much. A garden I carried in my spirit while navigating trauma, burnout, injustice, and grief. And now? It’s real. It’s rooted. And it’s not just for me anymore — it’s for you, too.

🌿 My Story — The Short Version Isn’t Enough

I come from a background where strength was a requirement, not a choice. From childhood to adulthood, I’ve seen how communities can both nurture and neglect, how the systems meant to “help” can just as quickly harm, and how Black women are often expected to hold everything without ever being held themselves.

I’ve worked in social services, in courtrooms, in crisis centers, and in homes filled with heartbreak. I’ve been the one folks called when things fell apart — and I’ve been the one falling apart, quietly, behind the scenes.

I’ve experienced being a survivor — not just of violence or abuse, but of burnout, spiritual disconnect, grief, and economic instability. I’ve been failed by institutions and overlooked by programs that didn’t understand my reality. I’ve navigated DSS. I’ve navigated reentry. I’ve stood in the gaps where support should’ve been — and I’ve stayed, even when I had nothing left to give.

Somewhere in all of that, I realized: healing wasn’t going to come from the systems that broke me. It had to come from the ground up — literally.

🌻 Why Nature? Why Now?

During one of the lowest seasons of my life, I found myself outdoors — in silence, in stillness, in soil. And something shifted.

The land didn’t judge me. The plants didn’t rush me. The sky didn’t ask for credentials or documentation. Nature simply held me. And that was the moment Blu Roses Garden began — not with a website or a product, but with a seed of hope in the dirt.

Nature gave me back what trauma tried to take:

  • A sense of agency
  • A connection to something greater
  • The reminder that I am part of something that grows, even slowly

🌼 From Personal Healing to Community Support

As I began to heal, people around me started to ask questions:
“How did you get through that?”
“Where do you go when it feels like nobody gets it?”
“Can I come sit in the garden with you?”

And just like that, Blu Roses became more than mine.

I started creating healing-centered spaces for others — not clinical offices or formal interventions, but gentle, grounded support. Phone calls. Nature walks. Planting days. Sessions outside with no clipboard in sight. Just two humans breathing together.

Then came the products: herbal blends, garden starter kits, spiritual grounding tools — not just to sell something, but to give people tangible ways to reconnect with life when everything felt disconnected.

And now, Blu Roses Garden LLC offers:

  • 🌱 Nature-based emotional support
  • 🪴 Garden wellness products
  • 📞 Phone and video sessions for survivors, helpers, and everyday folks in need
  • 🌾 Outdoor gatherings and healing walks
  • đź’¸ Sliding scale support — because healing shouldn’t be a luxury

🔥 Building a Business from Pain and Purpose

Let’s be honest — starting a business when you’re healing is no small thing. I didn’t have a huge team, a big grant, or a fancy marketing plan. I had vision, grit, and divine guidance.

I used my story — not as a weakness, but as a foundation. I leaned into what I already knew how to do:

  • Supporting people in crisis
  • Holding space with compassion and non-judgment
  • Growing things — plants, ideas, and people

I built Blu Roses Garden for people who, like me, were tired of navigating cold systems and just wanted something real. Something soft. Something sacred.

This business isn’t about capitalizing on healing. It’s about reclaiming it — making it community-based, Black-centered, land-rooted, and radically accessible.

✨ My Promise: This Work is Personal

When you book with me, buy from me, or share my page, you’re not just supporting a small business — you’re pouring into a larger mission:

To help people bloom in their own time, in their own way, with dignity, culture, and care.

Blu Roses Garden isn’t just a name. It’s a testimony. It’s my story, planted and grown.
And it’s proof that even in the middle of the storm, something beautiful can still take root.
