The Story Behind the Missing "E" in Blu
People often ask me why my business is called Blu Roses Garden and why I spell Blu without the "e."
The answer is both personal and symbolic.
For as long as I can remember, people have misspelled my name by adding an extra "e." After years of correcting forms, emails, certificates, and documents, I decided to have a little fun with it. Instead of adding an "e," I took one away. That's how Blu was born.
But the name means much more than a creative spelling.
The blue rose has long been associated with something rare, mysterious, and seemingly unattainable. One of the stories that inspired me tells of a princess who announced that she would only marry the person who could bring her a blue rose. Because true blue roses did not naturally exist, the task seemed impossible.
Over time, the blue rose became a symbol of chasing perfection, searching for something just beyond reach, or longing for something that may never fully exist.
Like many people, I spent years believing that life would somehow fall into place if I could just achieve the next goal, solve the next problem, or become the perfect version of myself. What I eventually learned is that perfection is not where growth happens.
Growth happens in real life.
It happens in difficult conversations, unexpected transitions, healing journeys, and everyday moments of courage. It happens when people feel supported, understood, and connected.
That realization became the foundation of Blu Roses Garden.
The work I do is centered on helping people navigate life's challenges with dignity, support, and practical guidance. Whether I am providing supervised visitation services, systems navigation, advocacy, family support, nature based experiences, or simply offering a listening ear, my goal is not to help people become perfect.
My goal is to help people move forward.
That mission is reflected in the meaning of BLU:

Blu Roses Garden was created from the belief that everyone deserves space to grow, heal, and bloom in their own way and in their own time.
Because life is not about finding the perfect rose.
It's about nurturing growth wherever you are planted.
